    That Council approve By-law 44/2024 for submission to the Registrar in compliance with the Act; and further

    That By-laws 22/01 and 21/2017 be repealed once the Registrar approval has been received.

A. F. & P. 37/2024 - Flag Lowering in recognition of the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair - Poll of Council conducted November 7, 2024 - For Information

 

WHEREAS the Honourable Murray Sinclair was the first Aboriginal judge in Manitoba, he was appointed Associate Chief Judge of the Provincial Court of Manitoba in 1988 and he was appointed Chief Commissioner of Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Commission;


Therefore be it resolved that the Council of the Township of Wellesley approve the immediate flag lowering at the Township of Wellesley Administration Office, 4639 Lobsinger Line, St. Clements, and Council Chambers, 4805 William Hastings Line, Crosshill, until sunrise on Monday, November 11th, 2024 in recognition of the passing of the Honourable Murray Sinclair. Result - 3 in favour.
